Just a Thought

Have you ever just sit down and think?
Not many people do that these days.
People are too busy with work, school, and Life.
I believe that no matter how busy you are you should
Sit down in a quiet place and just think.
It doesnt matter what you are thinking about
the Point isnt the subject but having a time to yourself
and sorting out your thoughts.

I dont know about you but I get random thoughts.
My thoughts are ideas, questions, emotions, and everything else in Life.
During vacations I like to take time and think.
I think about a lot of stuff.
It can be about life, society, conflicts I am having, new ideas for my story, etc etc

Recently I thought about the world and people.
I read some old articles about bulling and cyberbulling especially
those cases that lead to a death of a student.
because someone I know was falsely accused of cyber bulling
Bullying isnt a good thing in the first place but in a tech savvy
world like today. bulling exist outside of school grounds.

So I thought to myself: How can we stop all these hatred?
I thought about many ways.

1) Extinction of Humans. 2012? I hope you are real because
we humans are not worthy to live. Bit gruesome, I know but
if there is no one to hate, hatred will cease to exist. And think about it
we are so cruel and evil that we think about how to make other's feel horrible
and how we can take advantage of each other. And yet we talk about World Peace.
Yeah Right.

2) Fear. Fear is what controls us. When a gun is pointed to your head you listen to the gun man's demands. Only few brave people will fight back. Fear is a great way to control others. So maybe if we control people we wont have hatred.

3) Enlightenment. Maybe everyone could be enlightened. Sounds impossible but its definitely worth a try. Many people have mind set stronger than titanium, they just dont want to change their ways of thinking.

So those are three out of many methods I have thought about

I have a question for the readers
"What would you do if you can change 1 thing about the world we live in?"
Sit down and think about the question.
Once you find the answer
Write it down

Ungrateful

Kids these days are so Ungrateful
They dont know how to conserve and
How to count their blessing

They call you when they need you
but when you are not needed you are like
a useless piece of junk taking up space

They only realize how important things are
When something tragic happens
But when they do realize how important things are
its too late
They cry and weep but it wont bring that person or thing back

Ungrateful Kids are like a salary man
Salary man who are not happy about their jobs
Those Salary Man who get drunk often
Come home angry and complain about their work
To their wives
Kids are just like that
They come back from school and all they do is complain
Some of them complain about the weirdest shit ever

"Ugh, we won first place in state competition, but its not worth all the hard work I put in. I dont get to keep the trophy."

What is wrong with these kids
they are Ungrateful
When will they learn?
Will it be too late?

Sadness

There is life and then there is Death
I was shocked to learn of the death of a famous musician
His name was Nujabes (Jun Seba)

A famous Japanese producer, DJ, and artist who created wonderful Music
He is best known for working on OST for the anime Samurai Champloo
and for collaborating with many underground artists from US
like Funky DL, Substantial, Shing02, and many others

Nujabes is famous for mixing hip hop with jazz, creating various music
that calms and bring peace to the soul
I found out about Nujabes back when Myspace was the "thing"
I stumbled upon his fan's Myspace page who posted his song on his page
I listened and I loved it
While searching Nujabes on Google, I found out that he will be working on
the OST for an anime called Samurai Champloo

Of course I watched Samurai Champloo and downloaded the OST
and kept up with his album releases and ETC

His works were truly great, i would listen to it for
days without getting sick of it
and I still do

I learned of his death through Facebook which is pretty funny
cuz I learned about Nujabes through Myspace...
apparently Nujabes died in a car accident
at the end of Februrary
he had a private funeral with friends and family
and early March is when his friends, co-workers, and family revealed and
confirmed his death...
Many friends of mine, who were fans of his works expressed gratitude for
his work and such

it was truly a sad day for his fans

Nujabes was part of a group Hydeout Productions
the group plans to release an album soon containing Nujabes's work that was
never released
Me and many of his fans will look forward to his last album...

Wondering

When I found out that i was gonna have 6 month of vacation I said that I was going to start a Blog for fun and to kill time, but I havent been keeping up
So you must be wondering, What have you been doing all these times?
Well I have been watching movies

Of course occasional reading and hanging out with friends
but mostly movies
I havent watched recent movies, exception of Avatar
but I have been watching old movies I found on the web

I would re watch some of the movies I watched when I was a teenager
with love of explosions and action and with little interest in plot
Movies like Triple X, Fast and Furious, etc etc

Recently I rewatched Saving Private Ryan and two new movies
One was with Ellan Page's early work and other was horror comedy
I guess I will write a review about movies I have been watching

look forward to them...

Perspective

So today my friend asked me this
"Suppose You are operating a Trolley, then your brake fails. You keep going then you see 5 people on the track, but on the track next to it there is one person. You have the option to change tracks, will you change the track or keep going?"

I first said "I going to change the track, kill 1 instead of 5"
then she said "Most people will say the same" and told me to rethink my answer
So i thought about it
then it hit me
"Choice"
if I "choose" to change the lane and kill one person then someone can accuse me of
murder because it was my choice
If I stay on the course and kill 5 people then it would be less of a murder but people can still accuse me
in this situation I would be in lose lose situation
but If i choose to kill 1 instead of 5 then some people will see me as a hero
for keeping the casualties to the minimum

In the end, its all about perspective
this goes same for everything
especially in sports

With the Winter Olympics going on
I hear complaints about the judges every time
Saying that the Judges show bit of favoritism
But i am sure judges of Olympic or any other sporting events are being
as fair as possible
I guess in World Wide Events like the Olympics I guess judges tend to show
a bit of favoritism towards their own country and hosting country
but that is just our perspective
whether we think the judges are fair or not, it is our perspective

So what is the point?
In the end everything about our lives are about perspective

Life

Life is a puzzle
Its a question mark
Its a mystery
It can be beautiful or ugly

Recently Ive had a lot of time in my hands
To do a lot of things
But I have been thinking a lot lately
Today I thought about life
It seems that all the things in my life
Have worked out, most of the time
In a good way...
I wonder why or how it works out so
Perfectly
Its like a jigsaw puzzle piece falling
Into that perfect spot
Things fit perfectly to create a picture
That is life I guess

The more interesting thing is that
Puzzle pieces of my life can interact with
Other people's pieces
In other words, my actions can effect
Someone I dont even know

For instance, someone quits their job
Because they needed to, then I get hired
Because the previous employee quit
Then I quit because I have my reasons
Then someone else is going to get hired
To fill in my place
So when I quit my job, it opens an
Opportunity for someone I dont even
Know
This process will repeat countless times
Envolving countless amount of people

So what is the lesson?
Everything will work out
Its like that saying
"When one door closes, another will open"
We all just have to wait patiently
We need to have some confidence
And determination
If we have those, we can
Lead a truly worry-free life
That is the beauty of life
Because Life is not something out of control
We can control Life if we choose to

Quest Update

ATTEMPT NUMBER 4 AKA ATTEMPT NUMBER 5

Alright so today was D-Day
Sooner than I thought but everyone decided that it was finally our time
Our Time to watch James Cameron's Avatar in 3-D
and guess what...
It worked out
Everyone came and we all watched the movie

Now for the verdict
Was the movie good or bad?
I would say the movie was good and I would recommend to see it

Visual
The graphics are awesome
The 3-D is bit disappointing...Dont expect Universal Studios Terminator 3-D stuff
In Avatar most of the background stuff is 3-D and there are few scene where
Stuff other than the background is 3-D but as stated
Dont expect Universal Studios stuff...
As for other graphics, really good
I mean really good
The (Human) Characters look almost real
It is realistic to the point where during the movie you doubt that the whole movie is animated
New technology (stereoscopic cameras that simulate human sight) is good

Theme
It should be obvious if you watched the trailers
The theme in simple terms is Natives VS Outsiders
Indians VS White Men
Imperialism VS Biodiversity
Which ever way you put it...If you dont like this theme you wont like the movie
Oh and very strong Pocahonatas Theme is Present

Plot/Story *SPOILER ALERT*
Story was really good
It was different from what my friends and I thought would be
Some of my friends thought it was gonna be similar to The Matrix
Others thought it was gonna be something like Star Wars
Me? I thought it was gonna be some Exile taking revenge...
Story is good enough I guess
I thought few things were missing though
Usually movies bringing out dramatic themes by killing characters close or
Important to the Main Character but in Avatar no such Character Dies
Only 2 "Somewhat" important characters die

1) Female Scientist named Grace
She is at first doubtful of our character and does not trust him in the beginning
She was develop the "Avatar" Program and tried to teach the Native children
She is killed by a gun shot wound...
She is not really close to the Protagonist nor is she important
Yes, they do go through some important and disastrous events together but
Not close enough...We dont see enough bonding to care too much about her

2) Native Warrior
He is one of the strongest warrior of the tribe
He once despised our Protagonist and resented him
Only at the time of need does this character accepts our Protagonist
He is in few scenes and only thing he does is make fun of our Protagonist
Translate for Protagonist during battle speech
and Fights the Antagonists with him
He says "Brother, I will fly with you."
He dies honorably after taking out 10 human soldiers with a bow and 1 arrow
He is shot multiple times and falls off the airship

Unfortunately for Avatar only minor characters can be killed
The only character that is close enough with Protagonist is
The lead female
Protagonist's Native girlfriend
But if she is killed, a lot of audiences will be upset

Overall
Great movie
Go watch it
